Department Members Honored at APSHNR 2026 Annual Conference

We are proud to announce that four of our department members were recognized for their outstanding research and educational contributions at the Asia Pacific Society of Head and Neck Radiology (APSHNR) First Annual Conference, held in Bali, Indonesia, from May 22–23, 2026.

The department’s success at this inaugural event highlights our ongoing commitment to advancing diagnostic imaging and clinical education in head and neck radiology.

Award Recipients

  • Dr. Lun M. Wong (Research Assistant Professor)
    • Award: First Prize for Best Oral Presentation
    • Research: “Habitat analysis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma: which subregion has the most relevant information for discrimination between cancer and benign hyperplasia?”
  • Dr. Hanson Leung (Honorary Clinical Associate Professor)
    • Award: Second Prize for Best Oral Presentation
    • Research: “Visualization of the vestibular aqueduct across MRI sequences – illustrating the advantage of backbone imaging”

  • Dr. Hemis Ai (Research Assistant Professor)
    • Award: First Prize for Best Scientific Poster
    • Research: “Intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion weighted imaging for characterisation of salivary gland tumour: can habitat analysis improve the performance?

  • Dr. Kenneth Kwok (Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor)
    • Award: First Prize for Best Educational Poster
    • Educational Work: “Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging of the orbits in thyroid eye disease: how we do it”
